Who knew 26 pieces of rubber could be so expensive?

Okay, technically they’re polyurethane. They’re also $160 before shipping, and mandatory for my car to be certified. Thanks, weak Canadian dollar!

Nope! I’m keeping the old girl, even if it eventually kills me.

I’m sure, outside of florida, US inspectors do too.

poly bushings and your streeting it? Have fun keeping up on greasing them and the worse they make the ride. Id only ever do poly for the track. You can buy stiffer rubber ones that dont give up much ride quality

Unfortunately, I can’t find other types of body mounts. Oh well, time for me to go up to the GM dealership...

When I bought my MR2, one of the things I was looking into was what different vehicle state inspections are like since we don’t have them here. Most (meaning all of the states that i’d consider moving to) just check to make sure your lights work, tires have tread, horn works, and windshield wipers work.

See, up here that’s the test to make sure your vehicle is safe enough for a licence road test.

The ones for my Camaro ran about $75, but there are fewer of them. I guess that’s the price of being a big car guy!

That’s the price for owning a BOF cruiser.

That was the conventional wisdom but most modern poly body bushings don’t have to be lubricated and on cars like this a stiffer ride only gets you to what we consider soft these days. I say let the suspension handle the ride and handling instead of slop between the body and subframe.

Have you actually had them? Poly bushings on a civic daily driver in the Midwest and Texas with zero issues

not on my personal vehicle but riden in a few. and almost every tuning company i contacted about them told me not to. They recommended stiffer rubber ones for my miata. I rode in an evo with all poly but that was also in full track prep so not really the best idea from that

Damn that’s actually pretty cheap for a full set of poly bushings! I’ve seen a lot of cars where you can only get a couple of different ones and they’re more expensive than that, like a quarter of a full set at closer to $300. Do it!

Those are just body mounts, no suspension bushings.

Oh damn.Much less of a good deal. Still seems like a pretty reasonable price to me. Should make the car feel much better to drive.
